Burger King is aiming to lure its American customers with a limited edition bacon sundae.

The world’s second biggest hamburger chain will offer customers a bacon sundae – a vanilla soft-serve with fudge, caramel, bacon crumbles and a piece of bacon ….the salty-sweet dessert clocks in at 510 calories, 18 grams of fat and 61 grams of sugar.

The limited-time item … Burger King’s latest push to win back customers”.

This news of Burger King’s latest creation immediately has sent  shock waves around the world.

– Who on earth came up with this combination?

– Bacon with ice cream?  Yum or Yuck?

– 61 grams of sugar?  Are they trying to kill us? After all…

  • The American Heart Association recommends men limit added sugar to 36 g, or 9 tsp., per day and that women limit added sugar to 24 g, or 6 tsp., per day.
  • The rates of obesity and some chronic diseases, such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease and stroke, have increased dramatically in the past 10 years.
